For as long as I can remember, I've always drawn to the Criminal Justice field. I strongly believe in being the change that you want to see in the world, and through a Criminal Justice degree, I will do just that.
Bowie State University seemed like a school that truly valued the importance of higher education within the black community. As the oldest HBCU in the state of Maryland I knew this would be a school that prepared its students well for life after graduation.
My favorite building is the Martin Luther King building. The auditorium holds approx. 1,000 people, it is a place where we as a campus gather during convocations and other ceremonies. Attending these ceremonies, singing and rallying next to my peers, really makes Bowie feel like a family.
Bowie State University capitalizes on black excellence, and providing students with the skills they need to maximize their success. Bowie State urges you to find strength and take pride even through the toughest of times, and that is why I love my HBCU
