Excellence, Civility, Integrity, Diversity, and Accountability are all the things that set Bowie State University apart from the rest. We are a very prideful school. We take pride in everything that we do and everything that this illustrious institution stands for.
There would be no other choice but to say that my favorite building is the Center for Business and Graduate Studies building. I will be in that building for the majority of my undergrad career. They also have wonderful opportunities for business students from, accounting tutors to their own building store. The professor in the business build are so involved with the students that it feels like one big family.
Since I was a young girl, mathematics has always been an interest of mine along with business. When I started going to Patterson High school they offered an accounting program. Realizing that accounting involved both math and business, I started doing internships for various corporations. I have been in love with the field ever since.
The thing that attracted me the most to Bowie State University was the history of how it all started. Bowie Normal School was founded in Baltimore, Maryland at an African Baptist Church in 1870 on the streets of Saratoga and Courtland. They went through so many trial and tribulations to become Bowie State University, the oldest and best HBCU in Maryland.
