Class of 2021
Hometown: Owings Mills , MD
Major: Business Administration
Concentration: Business Information Systems
What sets Bowie State University apart from other schools is that because it is not a large school, there is more opportunity to get to know people that could be beneficial socially and academically. What also sets this school apart is that everyone is accepting and welcoming so a person can feel included and not just an average student.
I chose my major because it would prepare me for the real-world and attainable jobs for after college. I chose Business Information Systems as my concentration because I am very tech savvy but I also like the involvement of business as well. Essentially, I would like a career in the FBI doing technological or analyst work.
What attracted me to Bowie State University was the amount of involvement and pride that was seen around the campus. It was very welcoming and it showed me that Bowie State is almost like a big family.
My favorite building is the Center for Math, Science, and Nursing because the modern architecture motivates me to stay focused and want to do my work and it is very quite place to study at the same time.
